Personal Injury Statute of Limitations increasing?

The bill below would change the current Tennessee Statute of Limitations for a personal injury lawsuit to be filed to two years from the date of the injury. Tennessee is one of the few states that currently has a one year statute of limitations. The two year statute would allow more time for all parties involved to access the injuries, as often our clients have not completed their doctor’s care by the one year time limit, so a lawsuit must be filed. It will be interesting to watch this bill to see what others have to say about the proposed change.
