Employment Discrimination Cases

13 March 2013 Categories: All Blogs, Business Services

We have recently been contacted by a few individuals who feel they have been discriminated against at their work. McNulty & Associates, PLLC handles these type of cases, but there are a few initial questions we ask before setting up a free consultation. They are:

  1. Was the discrimination based on your race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, disability, or age (over forty)? Under current Tennessee law, sexual orientation is not protected.
  2. How many employees does the company have? To proceed with a claim under the Tennessee Human Rights Act, the company must have at least 8 employees.

If you believe you have a case, contact Luke today to set up a free consultation. We will also discuss whether your case can be considered as a federal discrimination case under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.

We also represent small businesses that would like to have policies and procedures put in place to help prevent discrimination lawsuits against their business.
